Where to stay after surgery in Guadalajara — an apartment, not a hotel room.

Guadalajara is one of Mexico’s main destinations for dental implants, bariatric and cosmetic surgery. We host furnished apartments near the private hospitals: a kitchen for the post-op diet, laundry, and a second bedroom for whoever travelled with you.

Why not a hotel

What a recovery actually needs

A kitchen for the post-op diet

Bariatric and dental patients spend the first weeks on a restricted diet. A hotel gives you room service; an apartment gives you a blender, a fridge and a stove.

A real bedroom for your companion

Most people fly in with someone. A separate bedroom means they sleep properly while you recover, instead of on a fold-out beside you.

Laundry on site

Recovery is longer than a holiday. Every unit lists its own amenities — many include a washer, so you are not packing three weeks of clothes.

Cheaper than the hospital hotel

Per night, an apartment normally costs less than a comparable hotel room, and there is no per-person charge when your companion joins you.

Be honest about it

We are not a recovery house

If you search for where to stay after surgery in Guadalajara, most of what you find are recovery houses — places with nurses on site, medication schedules, rides to your follow-up appointments, sometimes a hyperbaric chamber. They typically run around $140–160 USD a night.

We do not do any of that. There is no nurse, no medical supervision, no transport service. What we rent is an apartment: your own kitchen, your own laundry, a bedroom for your companion, in a normal residential building near the hospitals — starting at $1,380 MXN (about $79 USD) a night.

So the choice is not about price, it is about what your procedure needs. If your surgeon says you need supervision, book a recovery house and do not think twice. If you are having dental work, or you are past the first days and just need somewhere decent to heal with someone helping you, an apartment costs less and treats you like an adult.

Ask your surgeon which one you need. If they say supervision, we will tell you the same thing.

By procedure

What each kind of trip actually needs

Dental implants and full-mouth work

Dental trips are the ones where an apartment pays for itself: several appointments spread over one or two weeks, with waiting days in between. Clinics will point you to a hotel about a mile away — but a hotel room has no kitchen, and after implant surgery you will be on soft food for days. There is no hotel bill running while you wait for the next appointment either.

Bariatric surgery

The post-op diet is liquid, then puréed, then soft, over weeks. That is a kitchen problem, not a room-service problem: you need a blender, a fridge and a stove you control. Most of our units also have a washer, which matters more than people expect on a three-week stay.

Cosmetic and plastic surgery

Recovery is mostly quiet time with someone helping you. A separate bedroom means your companion sleeps properly instead of on a chair, and a residential building means no lobby to cross when you would rather not be seen.
